Visit Pannonian Plain – Prekmurje

Pick up with private transfer at your accommodation in Ljubljana.

We will start our wandering in Radenci, where the famous spring of Radenska slatina. The country along the Mura is also famous for its excellent pumpkin oil. In one of the oil mills in Radenci, we will see how this impressive liquid is made and, of course, taste it.

On a short tour of the provincial capital of Murska Sobota, we will see Victory Square with the famous Red Army monument, Hotel Zvezda, which has a balcony from where the independent Mura Republic was proclaimed in 1918 and the area where the Mura clothing factory once reigned.

We will continue our journey to a romantic place called the Island of Love, with a real floating mill. Become a miller on the Mura for a few moments.

The most relaxing part of the day follows, when we walk through the energy points of Lake Bukovnik. Here we will take some time for a short walk to the lake and to the spring of St. Vida, where one of the most healing waters in Slovenia originates.

We will continue our day with visiting famous architect Plečnik’s “white dove” church in Bogojina and with a visit to open-air museum Filovski gaj, where we will see the last traditional local houses.

The end of this special day is concluded by a late lunch with a local specialties and a wine tasting at the Puhan farm.
