Taste All Slovenia from East to West

Taste Slovenia from eastern site to western site in four days and get acquainted with most renowned supreme Slovenian wine producers and their wines.

Day 1: Jeruzalem vineyards - Northeastern Slovenia

Arrival to Slovenia and driving to north-eastern Slovenia , to charming village among rolling hills, Jeruzalem. Enchanted by magical landscape visit of Kupljen wine cellar with wine tasting.  Overnight in lovely tourist farm Hlebec with dinner and optionally wine tasting.

Day 2: The oldest Slovenian town Ptuj in Northeastern Slovenia- Ljubljana, the capital

In the morning departure to Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian town. Discover the idyllic city and its biggest treasure, hidden under ground – the oldest Slovenian wine cellar with great multimedia presentation. After tasting of wines time for lunch. Departure to Ljubljana. Visit of wine gallery with 20 different wines from all parts of Slovenia. Then stroll through the city for a taste of Ljubljana culture. Overnight.

Day 3: Western Slovenia with Postojna Caves - Karst - Goriska Brda

Departure to Goriška Brda: en route stop in Postojna caves. Then explore little medieval village of  Stanjel with wine tasting in Castle’s wine cellar . Departure to Goriška Brda. ascend on the top of the observation tower in Gonjace. From there is the best view on rolling hills and well-groomed vineyards which we visit afterwards. If the weather is nice, you can see as far as to Adriatic sea and the Dolomites. Follows pleasant stroll through medieval village of Smartno. Narrow streets lead us to the church of St. Martin, House of culture, typical “Brda” house from this area, and at last to House Marica where we raise a glass of wine (or two). Then indulge at Belica farm with dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Slovenian Seaside

Morning visit of winery Ščurek. After drive to Slovenian seaside and visit famed Santomas wine cellar. Lunch is served at traditional Casa del Sal, where cook Darko is nothing else but cook magician. Definitely one of the most outstanding culinary delights in Slovenia. Sightseeing of Piran, medieval town with maze of its narrow streets brings our tour to an end.
